iCloud sync
Notel can keep your notes in sync across your Macs using iCloud.
Turning it on
Enable sync in Settings (Notel will also offer it once on its own). Syncing uses the Apple ID already signed in on your Mac; there is no Notel account. Before the first sync, Notel saves a local backup of your notes.
What syncs
Notes, their looks, folders, and attachments. Each Mac keeps its own window positions.
What Notel can see
Sync runs through Apple’s iCloud system between your own devices. Notel runs no note servers and cannot read what syncs. Apple’s privacy policy applies to iCloud itself.
Turning it off
Switch sync off in Settings any time. Your notes stay on each Mac exactly as they are; they simply stop updating each other.
If two Macs edit the same note
Nothing is thrown away. If both Macs really did edit the same note since they last agreed, Notel keeps both: the other Mac’s version stays as the note, and yours comes back alongside it with (Conflict Copy) added to the title, so you can merge them yourself. If only one Mac actually changed anything, that change simply wins and no copy is made. For heavy two-Mac editing sessions it is still tidier to give each Mac its own note and stack them later.
