How the free trial works
Start a 7-day trial with every feature unlocked and no account needed.
When Notel first opens on a Mac, choose Start Free 7-Day Trial to begin. The trial does not start merely because you opened the app, and it needs no account or credit card. It is the full app: every feature works exactly as it does after purchase.
The clock belongs to the Mac rather than to the copy of the app. It is kept in your Keychain and outlives deleting Notel, so a reinstall carries on where you left off instead of starting a fresh week.
When does the clock start?
When you press Start Free 7-Day Trial. Seven days later, to the minute, the trial ends.
What happens when it ends?
Notel locks its note windows and shows Your 7-Day Trial Has Ended. Open the registration form, paste your code into Registration code, and choose Register Notel. Expiry happens on time even if the app is already open.
- Your notes are not deleted. Everything you wrote during the trial stays on your Mac and returns when you activate a license.
- There is no reduced-feature mode. Before expiry you have the whole app; after expiry it waits for a license.
Buying
Notel is a one-time purchase of $9.99: no subscription, and all future updates are included. Buy Notel and your access code appears on the page checkout returns you to. The app calls this your registration code. Save it before you close that page. It is not emailed, and that page is the only place it is ever shown.
You do not have to wait for the trial to end. While it is running, choose Help → Register Notel… or Settings → About → Register Notel…, then enter the code.
