How the free trial works
Every new install of Notel starts a 7-day free trial automatically. No account or credit card is required. The trial is the full app: every feature works exactly as it does after purchase.
When does the clock start?
The first time you open Notel on that Mac. Seven days later, to the minute, the trial ends.
What happens when it ends?
Notel locks its note windows and shows the purchase screen. This happens at the expiry moment even if the app is open at the time.
- Your notes are not deleted. Everything you wrote during the trial stays on your Mac and returns when you activate a license.
- There is no reduced-feature mode. Before expiry you have the whole app; after expiry it waits for a license.
One thing to avoid: do not use Log Out during the trial. It is there for handing a Mac on after you have bought, and using it mid-trial ends the trial for good on that Mac rather than restarting the seven days.
Buying
Notel is a one-time purchase of $9.99: no subscription, and all future updates are included. Buy Notel and your access code appears on the page checkout returns you to. Copy it down; it is not emailed. Enter it in the app to unlock.
